How to find us

Sat Nav can be followed using LA8 8LW.

Some can try and take you down bridal ways, if it looks too small please don¹t use it.

M6 junction 36.

Turn left at the Roundabout and follow the dual carriageway to the next roundabout. It will be signposted Windermere.

At that roundabout (Plumgarths, nearby Farm Shop) take a left signpost Crook / Hawkshead ferry.

Keep on this road until you have gone through the village of crook.

As you come out of Crook village there will be a steep hill.

At the top of the hill you will see the Village Hall on your left and just after that there will be a 40 mph speed sign.

Approximately 100 metres after the village hall turn left, St Catherine¹s Church will be on the left with the turning just in front to it.

Keep going along this road, it is single track for about a mile and a half.

When you start going down the steep hill do not turn off towards Crosthwaite (on the left).

After the Crosthwaite sign bear left just after the signpost for Winster.

Keep going down the hill and over the river bridge at the bottom.

Once you have crossed the river you will see the sign for Thornyfield on the left.

Keep on going up the hill and bear left at the top.

The road surface will become uneven at this point so please take care.
